Presently, there are 73 institutions that proceed the 5-year curriculum, a number which started from 40 when they were first established in 2002. This 5 year architectural education curriculum was initiated by WTO market globalization and the UIA Barcelona general meeting in 1996 where the professionalism of architectural practice was discussed.
